Every season has its charms. But there is only one charm that all seasons have in common. Each season in its turn, gives us the opportunity to miss all the other seasons.
Just like we tend to miss the seasons of life (as is evident from the fact that all kids want to be older and all adults want to be younger!) so we tend to miss the seasons of the year.

Usually at this time of year, the initial joy of the winter season wears off (along with its holidays and presents). We find ourselves anxiously anticipating the first day of spring.

You know, that day when the sun is shining through the crispy air for the first time in weeks. The snow is melting. After being cooped up inside the house, the thought of breaking free and going outside is so tempting. You suddenly open a window and get a surprisingly warm greeting from the spring sun, shining joyfully yet gently with the promise of summer.

I’ve been thinking about that day lately and really missing spring. As I was reminiscing, I created this yellow crystal necklace. It brightened up my day, and I hope it will do the same for you.

A lot has been said about opposites attracting. While it seams perfectly natural and true in magnetism… in life it seems to be a lot more complicated. There is something magical and fascinating about this notion. Maybe this is because any attraction between opposites is bound to be dangerous. Some gasp at the allure of danger while others gasp at the thought of it, but no one is indifferent.

Maybe the most insightful thing I heard about opposites attracting, was said by Sydney J. Harris:

Perhaps the secret appeal of the opposite does not lie in our love of controversy, but in our yearning for wholeness and harmony… Then again - maybe not

Sometimes when I look at my favorite works of art, I can’t help but feel amazed. Amazed that a human being with two arms and legs (just like myself!) can create such insightful beauty. Other times, when I look at some of the natural works of art – I can’t help but feel that a higher power had to be involved.
